My Experience at Alchemist Copenhagen - Through the Eyes of a Private Chef
A couple of months ago, I finally ticked something big off my culinary bucket list: dining at Alchemist in Copenhagen.
As a private chef, I’ve had the privilege of cooking for people in their homes, creating tailored fine dining experiences all across Australia. But stepping into Alchemist? That was something else entirely.
This wasn’t just dinner. It was 30 courses of pure creativity—each one pushing boundaries, blending art, science, and storytelling into something you really can’t explain… you just have to feel it.
I decided to film the whole thing—not as a review, but to simply document what it was like to be there. If you’re curious what a place like this looks like from the perspective of a working chef, check it out:

From the lighting to the plating to the unexpected flavours—it was sensory, bold, and honestly, just heaps of fun. There were moments I didn’t know what I was eating. Others where I had to stop and think about what it meant. And a few that made me laugh out loud at just how clever it all was.
What You’ll See in the Video
– Real footage from the full 30-course experience
– A behind-the-scenes look at one of the most creative kitchens in the world
– My reactions, unfiltered and real
– A night that completely reignited my curiosity as a chef
For anyone who loves food that surprises you, makes you think, or just feels like stepping into another world—this one’s for you.
